Access Bank has opened applications for its 2025 edition of Womenpreneur Pitch-a-Ton, and trust me, this is something you’ll want to know if you’re running your own business. This programme is all about lifting up women entrepreneurs — giving them training, mentorship, exposure, and yes, funding.

The window is open from September 19 to October 3, 2025. You’ll need to have a registered business, be running it for at least a year, and you must own at least 50 % equity in it. So it’s for serious women who are ready to take the next step.

What makes it sweet is that this edition comes with an intensive Mini-MBA programme (partnering with the International Finance Corporation), plus mentoring from pros who’ve been there. There’s N17.5 million in grants up for grabs for the top businesses, and even the finalists who don’t win get consolation support and business help. So it’s not just about winning — it’s about growing.

Since 2019, the programme has trained hundreds of women and given out grants worth around USD 175,000. It’s become one of those moments where you see community, resources, and ambition meet. If your business has been around, your heart is in it, and you’re ready to scale, this might be your time.

Female entrepreneurs looking to take their business to the next level are encouraged to apply via the official portal here

On August 30, 2025, Tolulope Omoleye-Osindero, the Founder of Evryday Fabrics gathered a room full of trailblazing career women, female entrepreneurs, and fashion industry creatives, at the Nordic Hotel, Victoria Island, for the inaugural Evryday Style Hub Mixer, an immersive one-day networking and fashion experience that proved style is more than fabric, it is identity, influence, and future-shaping power.

The Evryday Style Hub was conceived as more than a mixer; it is a celebration of fashion as empowerment and a reminder that how we present ourselves can open doors, create opportunities, and tell our stories before we utter a word. The event seamlessly blended fashion with purpose, inviting women to discover how style can be a language for leadership, self-confidence, and impact.

Guests experienced the vision of Evryday Fabrics through carefully designed activities including:

  • The Styling Lab, where attendees asked one-on-one questions about their wardrobe choices and learned how to dress for the life they envision.
  • The Style Snapshot Studio, where each guest sat for editorial-style portraits, upgrading their personal and professional image with photos that matched the career and business conversations of the day.
  • Networking Brunch Conversations, where style became a bridge to connect with like-minded women, collaborators, and mentors.

At the heart of the day was a powerful masterclass on Image and Personal Branding, delivered by stylist and founder of “Light in the Marketplace”, Dipo Awolesi. He emphasized that “style is more than fashion, it is a weapon for impact, visibility, and shaping how you want to be perceived.” His words challenged attendees to see fashion not as vanity, but as vision.

Sharing the soul of the initiative, Omoleye – Osindero, states:

“The Style Hub was created as a safe and stylish space for women to connect, reflect, and discover how fashion can align with their purpose. Our desire was to go beyond fabrics and outfits, to spark conversations that leave women more confident in projecting the future they dream of.”

The day concluded with laughter, meaningful introductions, and portraits of women who walked away not just better styled, but also more inspired to show up with clarity, confidence, and presence.

With this debut, Evryday Fabrics has set the tone for an ongoing movement, one that sees style not as superficial, but as a lifestyle of impact, expression, and possibility.

Mo Abudu is a media mogul, entrepreneur, and storyteller who doesn’t just walk into rooms, she changes the entire conversation. A powerhouse in African media and entertainment, she has built an empire that proves African stories deserve to be told on the biggest stages. As the founder of EbonyLife TV and EbonyLife Media, she has revolutionized the Nigerian film industry and inspired a new generation of creators.

One thing about Mo? If the opportunity doesn’t exist, she creates it. She started in human resources, but the corporate world couldn’t contain her vision. In 2006, she created and hosted Moments with Mo, Africa’s first syndicated talk show, giving a voice to conversations that mattered. But she didn’t stop there. She saw the lack of African narratives in mainstream media and decided to change that—on her terms.

Enter EbonyLife TV, a platform she launched in 2013 to push African content beyond borders. And when TV wasn’t enough? She moved into film. Under EbonyLife Media, she’s been the brain behind some of Nigeria’s biggest films, from The Wedding Party (which shattered box office records) to Oloture, a gripping Netflix hit that exposed the harsh realities of human trafficking. Reinvention has been key to her success. Mo doesn’t just create content; she sparks conversations that matter.

Her impact has also been recognized globally. She’s struck groundbreaking deals with Netflix, Sony, and the BBC, proving that African storytelling belongs on the world stage. Even Hollywood is paying attention. In 2023, she made her directorial debut, because why not? Mo Abudu moves with confidence that reminds you there are no limits, only the ones you refuse to break. Confidence opens doors.

Her journey isn’t just inspiring, it’s a masterclass in owning your narrative, pushing past limitations, and daring to dream bigger. If there’s anything to take from her story, it’s this: African stories matter, and when we tell them purposefully, the world listens.

What’s the biggest career lesson you’ve learned from her story? Drop your thoughts in the comments!

When you think of a woman who embodies grace, faith, and excellence, Pastor Mrs. Ibukun Awosika undoubtedly comes to mind. She’s not just a leader; she’s a force—blending faith, wisdom, and a touch of boldness to redefine what it means to be a modern Christian woman. From boardrooms to global stages, she proves that leadership rooted in God’s principles isn’t just possible; it’s powerful.

As the first female Chairperson of First Bank of Nigeria, Mrs Awosika made history in an industry where women rarely take centre stage. But for her, success isn’t about the titles, it’s about purpose. “Every work you do is an act of worship unto God,” she once shared, and that belief has shaped everything she does. Whether making strategic decisions in finance or mentoring the next generation, she leads with unwavering faith and a deep sense of responsibility.

Beyond corporate achievements, she’s a mentor, an author, and a champion for women finding their place in leadership. Through her books, speaking engagements, and initiatives like the Christian Missionary Fund, she continuously pours into others. Her message? You don’t have to choose between ambition and faith, you can thrive in both.

In the spirit of “New Year, New Me,” her story nudges us to think bigger and to lead with purpose in our everyday lives. Whether you’re navigating your career, running a business, or simply figuring out your next move, her journey is proof that with God at the centre, anything is possible. So this year, why not step into your leadership moment? Serve with integrity, embrace your purpose, and trust that God is guiding you every step of the way.

Who says you can’t do it all with God by your side?
