We all know of course that Barack Obama‘s wife is totally life, body, and career goals. And yes, she sure is style goals too.

So we’re celebrating her 55th birthday by taking a look at our top 10 favourite looks of hers, from over the years:

Who can forget when Aunty Michelle slayed in this embellished red dress by Jason Wu at the 2013 Inaugural Ball in Washington, D.C? She looked red hot! The cute bangs were on point, and those bangles too! And lets not forget those super-toned arms. Yes mama.

Flashback to when she wowed in a white off-the-shoulder Zac Posen dress and metallic silver Jimmy Choo pumps at BET‘s 2015 Black Girls Rock.

For her first visit to Japan, Michelle was a sight to behold in this radiant lime green graphic-print Kenzo flared frock that she accessorized with a waist-cinching futuristic mirrored belt and classic black pumps.
One of our all-time fave Michelle looks. For the China State Dinner at the White House, she embodied elegance in a stunning, off-the-shoulder Vera Wang gown with a V-notch neckline and a mermaid hem in 2015.

For her final White House State Dinner in 2016, Michelle Obama pulled out all the stops, making a show-stopping entrance in a custom rose gold Versace chainmail gown with a fitted bodice, drapery, and an asymmetric off-shoulder neckline, styled with Le Vian diamonds.

In 2o16, Michelle Obama stunned in a black, white, and yellow floral print dress that she paired with leather pumps and drop earrings, at an event in Washington, DC.

So fancy! Michelle looked super stylish in a strapless Naeem Khan ball gown which featured a dramatic sweetheart neckline, a full skirt, and an eye-catching pattern of hand-painted gold leaf on black tulle at the Phoenix Awards Dinner in 2016.

Michelle looked elegant in this understated-yet-head turning royal blue Christian Siriano dress, which she wore to the 2016 Democratic National Convention stage. She nailed the look with theses metallic silver pumps.

We would totally rock this silk pantsuit. Wouldn’t you? And those earrings. So sassy!

What a show stopper! No one can forget that iconic moment when Michelle strode on stage in a silky Balenciaga dress from the spring/summer 2019 collection and a sparkly pair of ($4,000) boots during a promotional appearance for her memoir, Becoming.

Barack & Michelle Obama will be Making Films for Netflix! https://queenmoremi.com/2018/05/barack-michelle-obama-will-be-making-films-for-netflix/ Wed, 23 May 2018 10:34:49 +0000 http://queenmoremi.com/?p=1504 It’s been over a year since our favourite President, Barack Obama, exited the White House and now, according to CNBC, he and former first lady, Michelle, have signed a multi-year…]]> It’s been over a year since our favourite President, Barack Obama, exited the White House and now, according to CNBC, he and former first lady, Michelle, have signed a multi-year agreement with Netflix to produce movies and series. The deal includes scripted and unscripted series, unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries and features.

In a statement, Barack said, “One of the simple joys of our time in public service was getting to meet so many fascinating people from all walks of life, and to help them share their experiences with a wider audience. That’s why Michelle and I are so excited to partner with Netflix – we hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world.”

The Obamas, who have kept a relatively low profile since leaving office, established a company named Higher Ground Productions, which will be managing the project.

According to a New York Times report from earlier this year, sources knowledgeable about to the Obama/Netflix partnership made it clear that the former POTUS has no plans of creating any programs centred on or addressing President Trump and The White House. Instead, Obama wants to produce “shows that highlight inspirational stories.”

“Barack and Michelle Obama are among the world’s most respected and highly recognised public figures and are uniquely positioned to discover and highlight stories of people who make a difference in their communities and strive to change the world for the better,” Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer of Netflix, stated.

We can’t wait to see what comes of this partnership. Something tells me it’s going to be a show stopper, literally. Again, black excellence wins and we’re loving it.
