I’ve played this song so many times this week, I’ve stopped counting. Every time I hear the chant — “No, no… No, no… No turning back” — it feels like something deeper than music. Like I’m shouting over my own doubt. Like I’m reminding myself of a decision I already made, but sometimes forget.

There’s something so fresh and fiery about what Gaise Baba and Lawrence Oyor did with this one. It’s the same “I have decided to follow Jesus” that we all know from children’s church, but this version? It’s giving revival meets street vibe. It’s catchy, it’s vibey, it’s danceable — but more than anything, it feels intentional.

Gaise’s part had me smiling. The way he wove Yoruba into the rhythm while still sounding like he’s on a mission? So good. I loved the line: “On God, mind is made up” — because same. Sometimes following Jesus isn’t about how spiritual you look. It’s about choosing Him again and again, even when everything else is louder. Even when it doesn’t “make sense.”

Then Lawrence comes in like fire. If Gaise gave us groove, Lawrence gave us guts. When he said “We will burn the world, we will spend the billions, we will heal the sick…”, I actually paused the song and said “okayyy.” Because in a time where everybody’s soft-launching their backsliding, hearing someone say “we’re going all in for Jesus” without shame? I felt that. Deeply.

What I love most about the song, though, is how communal it feels. Like you could be singing it in your room, or a youth conference, or just walking to work with your earphones in — and you’d still feel like you’re part of something bigger. It’s not a lonely kind of faith. It’s bold. It’s loud. It’s unbothered.

I don’t know who else needed a reminder this week, but this was mine: it’s already too late to turn back. Too many prayers prayed. Too much grace tasted. Too much love encountered. Turning back? For what?

So yeah, I’ve decided to follow Jesus. No turning back. Not today. Not ever.

Some songs aren’t just catchy, they stick with you. Favour by Lawrence Oyor is one of those tracks that not only stays in your head but in your heart. From the first chant of “Favour! It surrounds me like a shield”, you can feel the shift in the atmosphere.

This isn’t just a song, it’s a revival. The lyrics are simple but powerful, reminding us that God’s favour isn’t something we’re chasing, it’s something we walk in. As the song flows, it feels like a celebration of divine breakthroughs.

The intensity builds, and before you know it, you’re declaring Power! Fire! Angels! It’s like a reminder of all the heavenly goodness surrounding us. Then Mercy comes in, and it hits differently: Mercy has washed away my sin and is opening doors for me. Now that’s grace in action.

The best part? The repetition makes it easy to get lost in worship, and you just can’t help but sing along. If you haven’t had a listen yet, you’re missing out. If you have, what part of Favour speaks to you the most? Let’s talk about it. 💖
