Themed parties can still be fun even in your fifties. Who ever said that there was a timeline to playing dress up? Mrs Bello looked ever so regal in this Victorian-inspired outfit that she wore to the MET Ball Glam red carpet affair.

Casual chic is still a thing even in your fifties apparently! Some days, you don’t want to play dress up but you still want to leave the house looking like a million bucks. This shirt dress paired with six-inch heels is both age appropriate, easy and chic. A good idea for a lady on the go!

Did anyone say Ankara? Mrs Bello seems to have a preference for this fabric and quite frankly, we can’t blame her. You can play around with it and work it to fit your body in very versatile ways. All you’ll be needing is a good seamstress who’s also reliable. For this look, the actress went for tassels and cotton sleeves and a collar made in the semblance of a corporate shirt, to add a bit of edge. If we’ve learned anything from this style star, it’s that the extra “oomph” can be garnered with a few additional details here and there.

In Ms. Shaffy’s world, the power suit is whatever you want it to be. At this point, we want to schedule a meeting with her seamstress because this looks like it was made to fit. Again, she adds some edge by pairing her look with these bomb sunglasses and a lemon purse. If that doesn’t say “I run this”, I don’t know what does. Yes, ma’am, we hear you loud and clear.

White Shirt
Consider a white shirt a core essential in your wardrobe. There are endless options for how to wear it: Pair it with a simple skirt or pants for a classic look, or layer it under a sweater or dress to give an outfit some added dimension.

Little Black Dress
No item is more ideal for accessorizing and styling, because it serves as a blank canvass upon which you can build your look. The Little Black Dress! It has gotten us through some tough times, and serves as a hit outfit for any wardrobe.

You definitely need these. Perfect for a trip to the grocery store, the beach, casual hangouts, etc.

And we can see why!

The theme of this year’s event was “Camp: Notes on Fashion”. The term, “Camp,” basically means stepping outside of the box of what society normally expects.

In my opinion though, I think this year, the celebrities didn’t go all out with their looks unlike previous years. Some of them actually came through and some snatched our edges while at it!

Who can forget when Aunty Michelle slayed in this embellished red dress by Jason Wu at the 2013 Inaugural Ball in Washington, D.C? She looked red hot! The cute bangs were on point, and those bangles too! And lets not forget those super-toned arms. Yes mama.

Flashback to when she wowed in a white off-the-shoulder Zac Posen  dress and metallic silver Jimmy Choo pumps at BET‘s 2015 Black Girls Rock.

In 2o16, Michelle Obama  stunned in a black, white, and yellow floral print dress that she paired with leather pumps and drop earrings, at an event in Washington, DC.

So fancy! Michelle looked super stylish in a strapless Naeem Khan ball gown which featured a dramatic sweetheart neckline, a full skirt, and an eye-catching pattern of hand-painted gold leaf on black tulle at the Phoenix Awards Dinner in 2016.

Michelle looked elegant in this understated-yet-head turning royal blue Christian Siriano dress, which she wore to the 2016 Democratic National Convention stage.  She nailed the look with theses metallic silver pumps.
