Mo Abudu, the visionary behind EbonyLife Group, is taking African storytelling to another level, and this time, the spotlight is on London.
EbonyLife Place London, set to open in the fourth quarter of 2025, will be a first-of-its-kind cultural and creative hub, offering a dedicated space for African storytelling, art, fashion, film, and food. Located on Wandsworth Road, this space will be a meeting point for creatives, industry leaders, and lovers of African culture to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the richness of the continent’s creative industries.
At the heart of the hub will be EbonyLife Cinemas London, a 180-seat theater dedicated to showcasing African films, especially Nollywood, making it the first African cinema in London. The space will also feature Turaka London, a Nigerian restaurant offering bold and flavorful cuisine, alongside art exhibitions and African fashion retail spaces that bring the vibrance of the continent’s creative scene to a global audience.
Adding to the experience, emerging African music artists will have a platform to perform, theater productions will bring African stories to life on stage, and masterclasses, seminars, and workshops will provide learning opportunities for creatives looking to grow their craft. With networking and membership opportunities, the hub will also serve as a bridge for African talent looking to thrive on an international scale.
EbonyLife Place London is set to be more than just a creative hub, it will be a cultural force, amplifying African voices and ensuring that African talent, stories, and artistry take center stage in the global conversation.
